Established in 1973, the SVDA is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of traditional steel-tip darts in the
greater Sacramento area. We are sanctioned by the American Darts Organization (ADO) which is, in turn, a member of the World Darts Federation (WDF).
The SVDA operates a Wednesday evening darts league for hundreds of shooters in the Sacramento area and sponsors a number of tournaments throughout the year. The most noteworthy annual SVDA event is the renowned Camellia Classic, which draws top shooters from throughout the western United States with a guaranteed total purse of $10,320. Next year's Camellia
Classic (February, 2010) will mark 34 years of continued success for this event.
The Wednesday evening league is a great way to break up the monotony of the week by getting you out of the house to meet new friends and enjoy the time-honored sport of steel-tip darts. It doesn't matter if you're a 30-year veteran shooter or if you've never picked up a dart in your life -- the SVDA league is broken out into divisions by experience and ability to provide fair and lively competition for shooters of all skill levels!
Please take a few minutes to browse our website and get to know the SVDA. If you have any questions or comments, or you'd like more information about forming a team and joining the league, please e-mail us at blinddarter@yahoo.com
